Guided Learning Hours

Guided Learning Hours are the approximate amount of time a learner will take to complete all the course objectives under the supervision of an instructor or supervisor. 

The total Guided Learning Hours for 165-credit qualification – 660.

The total Guided Learning Hours for 120-credit qualification – 480.

The total Guided Learning Hours for 60-credit qualification – 240.

Total Qualification Time

The expected hours a student might require to prepare, learn, research, etc., to complete all the learning objectives of a course is known as Total Qualification Time (TQT). The ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management course is available in three programs: 1. 165-credit qualification, 2. 120-credit qualification, and 3. 60-credit qualification.

TQT for 165-credit qualification – 1650 Hours

TQT for 120-credit qualification – 1200 Hours

TQT for 60-credit qualification – 600 Hours

Methods of Assessment

  • A research task resulting in the submission of a report
  • An academic article for publication
  • The compilation of a case study
  • A  critical assessment and evaluation of a company’s policies, procedures and structure.
  • An employer-engagement activity
  • Submission of a portfolio consisting of evidence relating to a particular unit.

Requirement

  • The learners should be of the typical age of 18 and above  
  • A GCE Advanced level profile with achievement in 2 or more subjects supported by 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above
  • Other related level 3 subjects such as ATHE Level 3 Diplomas
  • An Access to Higher Education Certificate delivered by an approved further education institute and validated by an Access Validating Agency
  • Other equivalent international qualifications
